Excited!

Well the facility is almost ready for us to move in! We are waiting on the interior doors to be installed. The we will hang the ceiling fans/lights, finish the plumbing on the sinks/ toilets, and install a pump for the water tank. We hope to move in this coming month. This will be very different for us. We have lived in the city since we've been in Honduras. We have lived behind block walls with razor wire. We will not have this protection at the property. Building a block wall is very expensive! We will have bars on the windows. God will be our protection.
We still need to drill a well, but this will be in the future. We have a 1,000 gallon water tank that we will have filled as needed. We need the pump so we will have water pressure. We also need to finish the Children's Home room. We also need kitchen cabinets. Little by little we can finish the other things. We will save $1,000 a month by moving to the property. We won't be paying rent, extra utility bills, and gas for driving back & forth.

Children

I have been reading in Genesis...I was reading about Lot and when the men came to his door wanting his visitors. Lot was willing to give his daughters to these men...these sodomites. He was willing to throw his children to the world. I wonder how many parents are guilty of doing the same thing? Most parents do this and don't even realize it. The world is outside the doors of our homes banging on our doors wanting our children. What a serious job we have as parents! Do we take our job seriously though? Are we guarding our children? Do we have a hedge of protection prayed around them? May God help us to protect, and raise in children in God's way.

The church in Honduras.

Here is one of the latest pictures of the church here in Honduras. We hope to have it ready for services by Sept. when Bro. Frazier will be coming down. He will be preaching a constitution service for us. We still need a cement floor, electricity, and doors and bars on the windows.

The church is doing well. Trent has been do the study "ABC's of Christian Growth". Thanks to our home church in Tennessee for printing these books and sending them to us! Trent gave the books for the families to study in their homes but they did not want to study at home alone. So the whole church is studying the book together each Sunday. We have really enjoyed studying this book.
It really is a great help to the new Christians.

My Goals.

I want my life to bring glory and honor to my Savior Jesus Christ and I want to be a blessing to others. I always put God first and my family is next. It is such a privilege to be a servant to God and my family.

Jude 22 and of some have compassion, making a difference.

I truly want to make a difference in the lives of others. I want to be that godly example, especially to my children! What a serious job it is to raise children. We will be held accountable for all we do. Our children are a reflection of us. If we see their faults....a lot of times we have the same faults in our life. I've always said the saying "monkey see, monkey do, monkey is always watching you". Oh how true this is! Our children desire to be like us. Thank God that He is still working on me, to make me what I ought to be! I want to be a vessel fit for the masters use.

God prepare me to be a sanctuary, pure and holy, tried and true.
With thanksgiving, I'll be a living, sanctuary for you.

Building Project

We are fencing part of the land off to keep cows out.

We have built a small building to use for a storage shed to lock up our tools and naterials and someone can sleep here of a night to guard everything so we are not robbed.

We started out building a house and are now working on the garage which we will be using for a church.

Our Property

The Lord allowed us to buy land this past year. We purchased almost 12 acres for less than $1,000 an acre. We praise the Lord for the good deal He gave us. Land is usually very expensive here, so this was definitly God!
